Case Worker, Drug Court Homelessness & Assistance Program

We’re seeking a dedicated Case Worker to join our Drug Court Homelessness Assistance Program (DCHAP) team. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with the Dandenong Drug Court and support individuals on a Drug Treatment Order (DTO) to access safe, sustainable housing and address the factors contributing to homelessness.

About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader, Transitional Support, you will:

  • Deliver responsive, flexible outreach case management
  • Support clients to secure short, medium, and long-term housing
  • Empower individuals through a strengths-based approach
  • Collaborate with the Drug Court team and external agencies
  • Provide advocacy, safety planning, and intensive support

 

About You

You bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Experience in community services and working with complex needs
  • Knowledge of social housing and homelessness support
  • Strong case management and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and contribute to service improvement
  • A current Driver’s Licence and valid ‘Employment’ category Working with Children Check
  • Successful completion of wayss pre-employment screening (police and identity check)
